I wonder if Steve Jobs forgot to add a feature to the iPhone - a search tool that lets you search the entire contents of the device. I don't think it is hidden, seems like they might not have put it in for one reason or the other.
There is no search function in the individual applications such as contacts and mail. Does Apple think that users can find stuff more quickly through alphabatetized directories? Why would Apple leave out easier to use search functions? I must be one of the only ones who thinks that it has been left out on purpose, or am I not? |

My main development machine of choice is an IBM(Lenovo) Thinkpad T42. Mine was nicely configured, with a Pentium M 1.7 GHz, 1024 MB RAM, 80 GB HDD, CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive, and a 9 Cell battery; allowing me to work away from the wall for several hours at a time. This laptop weighs in at just under 5 lbs, with the standard battery of course, maybe half a pound heavier with the extended battery. I must say that I totally enjoy this laptop, as it is thin and light, fast, highly reliable, and has a bright screen.

Ok so for a good while now I have been instructing people to care for their Lithium - Ion (Li-ion) batteries as they would do for Nickel Metal Hydrate (Ni-Mh) batteries and Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cad) batteries. I was actually curious one day about the composition of these batteries and decided to do some research on this topic. I learned that the Li-ion battery technology was a bit different from its predecessors, in that it has other mechanisms built into the battery itself, and to my understanding, you can't just go out and pick up some Li-ion cells. So you have to buy it in a pack. The previous two technologies work best when cycled, charge the battery until its full, and then fully discharge it. Ni-Mh's had no memory effect, and the same for Li-ion's. |
